 CHEESE MAKING CLASSES :     Friday through Monday by reservation!  Please call and reserve your spot to make farm cheddar and 30 minute mozzarella.  Deposit by credit card required to hold your place.    Gift Certificates available

 

BEGINNER BREAD MAKING CLASSES:  Hours by appointment.  Call to set a date.  Gift Certificates available.

Appropriate for ages 7 and up.  Larger groups can be accommodated.

Group Felting workshops:  Great activity during the cold winter weather.  Now held in the toasty warm Blacksmith shop thanks to the newly installed wood burning heat stove!!!!  YEA!!

 

Group rate available for groups of 10 or more.    Workshop for all ages.  We will use our sheep fleece to make small ecologically friendly carrier.  Learn how to make a pattern, felt and dye fleece.  Create your own  small carrier to take home.  $10 per person for adults and children 7 and over.   Carrier kits: $5.00  Each kit  has pattern, instructions and fleece enough for one small carrier.   Noon-1:30pm.  Registration required.  Please state how many kits you plan to need.

Farmer's market community outreach persons needed.  Looking for dedicated adults with drivers license and reliable car to commit to manning our farmer market tables at 2 weekly sites, May-November.  A GREAT opportunity for those who love our dairy to talk to others about our dairy and community outreach.  Paid position.  May create a "team" to allow for weekend rotation for greater flexibility.  Please contact Kathy 610-838-2928

 March 1 :Penn State Extension -Northampton County 4-H Order Deadline for Seedling trees-  Call Debbie 610-509-9431 for list of available seedlings and pick up date

 

March 17  : Dairy Day at Flint Hill Farm

10AM-noon.  Great opportunity for families or groups to come tour the farm and learn more about where your milk comes from.  Visit our wonderful Jersey cows and Alpine goat herds. Lots of new baby goats were end of February, beginning of March.

Honey and Sandy had their calves end of December 2017 ( Christopher and Stormy).  Apples and Trixie are due to calve beginning of May.

Samples of our yummy yogurt smoothies and cheese available for all to  sample.  

Farm store open for purchases daily

 

 

March17 :  NOON following Dairy Day!  30 minute mozzarella making class $5.00 per family of 4.  Come learn how to make mozzarella in your own kitchen.   Registration required.  Group of 10 or more needed to run demo.

April 7th : noon-1:30PM  Know  your goat!!! Lecture, handouts and hands on for those plannng to own goats or wanting to be more knowledgable concerning their care.  Topics:  Framancha Scoring, hoof care, paracites, feed and bedding, milking options

April 14th : Felting workshop for all ages.  $10 for group of 4 to watch demonstration.  Handbag kits- $5.00 for individuals to make during the demonstration.  Assitance available.  Take home your own handmade tote!  Reservations required.  Group of 10 needed to run event.

June 2nd :Spring Farm to Table at Flint Hill Farm! Pig Roast and Howdown! Third annual Spring farm to table dinner. Planning for this event to be hosted at the farm in a lovely tent on the grounds to rejoice in the coming of spring and enjoy the changes in the seasons! Chef Michael Brack- Executive Chef  Sodexo LVHN  Cedar Crest will be setting the menu plus chefs and students from LCTI will be honoring us with their expertise! menu and times to follow.  Seating unlimited.

SUMMER CAMP BEGINS !!!          

For families who want to have an integrated summer experience for their camper, allowing the camper to spend the entire summer with us, we have several options.  Reduced pricing for ALL DAY campers - 4 weeks to 7 week block on CAMP PAGE

After care extra for all camps $5.00 per 1/2 hr. Needs to be arranged with camp counselor prior to drop off unless emergency.

 

June 19-23th: Farm Camp.  8:30-3PM Explore the world of farming in and around 1930's.  Make a water cistern, work the garden plot, bake bread in our wood burning/gas Glendale 36 oven, make jam from seasonal fruit. Enjoy the animals, plants and woods of June!  Dress for the weather.  Lots of outside exploration!

July3-7th :  Happy 4th of July!  Option to attend July 5-8th for those away for the holiday.  Horse Lovers Camp 8:30-3PM

July 11,13,18,20,25,27-- Mommy, Daddy and ME Camp for 2 & 3 yr olds! NEW!  9AM-11AM

July 10-14: KinderCamp  8:30-11:30AM

July 17-21: KinderCamp 8:30AM-11:30AM for ages 4-6 yr olds and Farm Camp ages 7-15 yr old. *:30AM-3PM. Explore all the animals on the farm with specialty days!  Visit from the Vet during this week.  Hurray for Dr. Nate!

July 24-28: Horselovers Camp 8:30AM-3PM. 

July 31- August 4 KinderCamp 8:30-11:30 AM

Aug 2,4,9,11,16,18--Mommy, Daddy and ME Camp for 2 & 3 yr olds!  NEW!  9AM-11AM

August 7-11 Farm Camp with horse driving day /DRAFT RIDING DAY.  Many of the campers in past have asked to have an integrated camp combining the importance of horsepower with farming.  This is the week!  Come have fun with us!
