Kindercamp (Ages 4-6)  All KinderCamps run from 8:30Am-11:30Am daily

 

June 25-June 29     Who lives in the Woods??? Exploring the woods and woodland creatures!  Visit to the woods, stories and games.  

July 9-13th     Chickens, Goats, Horses, Cows!  All live on the farm.  Visiting the barns and pastures to better appreciate the "home" of each animal.    

July 16-20st   What grows in the garden?  Taste, smell, feel the yummy garden goodies.  How to plants grow?  Fun in the garden and greenhouse!  

July 30- Aug 3   Who lives in the Woods???  

Aug 13-17th    Chickens, Goats, Horses and Cows!   

 

The campers will spend their morning exploring with all five senses; sight, sound, taste, smell and touch. Each week, Miss Andrea selects a theme. Last year the campers explored goats, sheep and butterflys. They visited the garden or pastures, read a story each day about different pollinators or farm animals they had seen such as butterflies, bees, and bugs, goats, cows, rabbits. They then made a craft that was related to their story and day's experience to take home. The campers roam the farms woods and fields, visit the dairy, garden, horses and sheep. Each day is an adventure that broadens their experiences and imagination! Friday is family day. Parents are invited to come on Friday and join the group, share the adventure and treats to close the very special week.

Hours will be from 8:30am to 11:30am daily. Extended care is available after 11:30 for an additional charge. Camp is $175 per week with a $10 discount for registration prior to April 1st.  There is a non-refundable deposit required of $50.00 per child per week to reserve space, as space is limited. Balance is due two weeks prior to start of camp week. As the goal of our camp is to teach children in a safe environment, we reserve the right to cancel summer camp for any child who is unable to follow safety rules. Children should wear appropriate attire for exploring the farm. An additional outfit should also be provided. Suggested attire of shorts, sneakers and rain slickers. Make checks payable to Flint Hill Farm Educational Center,Inc.. We also accept Visa and MasterCard.

Flint Hill Farm Summer Camp (Ages 7-15)

June 18-22th- Farm Camp- Explore the world of farming in and around 1930's. Projects: making a water cistern, work the garden plot, bake bread in our wood burning/gas restored stove Glendale 36 oven, make jam from seasonal fruit.  Enjoy the animals, plants, and woods of June. Dress for the weather!! 

July 2rd-6th-Horse Lovers Camp-  Happy July 4th!!!   

July 16-20st -Farm Camp with Gardening/ Hydroponics and soil science ( NEW THIS YEAR) 

July 23-27th- Horse Lovers Camp- Show Horse week on Friday!  Remember to invite your family.  Meet the Vet with visit from Large Animal Vet Nate Harvey.  

Aug 6th- 10  - Farm Camp - Early American Living Skills-  Tin crafts, small loom weaving, butter making and Early American dressup day!!!   

Aug 13-17th-  Horse camp- horse handling skills.  For those who are interested in owning your own horse or continuing with riding lessons.  Riding on Jenny our Draft horse, horseshoeing with Farrier Pete Sanchez.   

 

Farm Camp/ Horse Camp for ages 7-15 is offered during the months of July and August. No experience necessary, young people enjoy hours of fun and recreation learning new skills and making new friends. Horse camp offers 4 hours of riding and horse related activities in the AM, crafts and horse related programs in the PM. A special Horse Show is open to the families on Friday to show off new skills and new friends. Farm Camp involves our camper with all aspects of the summer season on the farm. Time is divided between gardening, animal care and handling and forestry projects. Each group is unique, creating their own area of focus for the week.

Hours will be from 8:30am to 3:00pm daily. Extended care is available from 3pm to 5pm at an additional charge. Camp is $350 per week with a $25.00 discount for registration prior to April 1st. There is a non-refundable deposit required of $100.00 per child per week to reserve space, as space is limited. Balance is due two weeks prior to start of camp week. As the goal of our camp is to teach children in a safe environment, we reserve the right to cancel summer camp for any child who refuses to follow safety rules. Children should wear appropriate attire for riding, long pants, and shoes with heels. Riding helmets are required. If needed, they can be rented for $2.00 per day. An additional outfit for other activities should also be provided, shorts and sneakers and rain slickers. Make checks payable to Flint Hill Farm Educational Center, Inc.. We also accept Visa and MasterCard.

Farming Experience
The farm week will introduce campers to the source of their food, good soil practices, composting, earth worms and local pollinators. The newly created “Woods and Pasture walk” developed in collaboration with the PA Department of Forestry will introduce campers to the area’s rich   natural  resources.  Since the farm is also a Registered a Certified Raw Milk Goat Dairy, the campers will be involved with the daily feeding and care of our dairy herd.  Each day has a different theme: Horses and their care, Goats/Cows-Dairy and Cheesemaking, Garden and woods, Chickens-housing, feeding and care/eggs. Friday is Parents Day.  Put the time aside to come and see what your campers learned!

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR BOTH CAMPS: Long pants in the AM. All campers may bring a change of clothing for afternoon games and crafts, such as shorts & sneakers.  All campers should have sunscreen, and bug repellent, as well as a rain slicker for inclement weather.

A $100 non-refundable deposit for each session is required to hold a camper’s spot.  There is a $25.00 per session discount for all campers who register prior to April 1st.  We accept Visa and MasterCard.

Whether your camper has chosen the farm’s horseback riding or farming experience, your child will never forget their time here at Flint Hill Farm Summer Camp.  We are located on 26 acres on the top of Flint Hill in beautiful Lehigh County.
