Big "Thank you" to our Board for their committment of time, talents and treasures to Flint Hill Farm Educational Center, Inc.  The Board can report 100% financial support for the year 2017.

Looking forward to a GREAT 2018!!!

1.  Thanks to the devoted Event Committee Leaders FHFED now plans our Third AMAZING Farm to Table Spring HOEDOWN.  The excellent menu is being created and prepared under the direction of Executive Chef Michael Brack-LVHN Sodexo, also a member of our Board and his culinary friends of the Sodexo team We were blessed to have the assistance of our friends from the LCTI culinary program, Chef Hedoka and students!  A BIG thank you to all!!

2. 2017 was a time of transition for our Blacksmith shop into a year round all purpose room and the addition of Artisan Blacksmithing Classes by Mr. Anthony Murphy.  Spring 2017 welcomed new windows, shutters and facelift painting through volunteer hours and generous donations, addition of storage and working cooking demonstration area. Addition of AV equipment, benches for student seating, additional electricial outlets and ceiling fan came throughout the summer and fall.  The solar room is  completed outfitted with a hydroponic growing demostration for local school students and visitors full of herbs on the top level and great looking fish in the tank below!  Both rooms are being used by groups year round since the wood burning stove provides plenty of heat to keep the area warm and toasty.  Groups of 30 have been confortably be accommodated.

3. Tours and visitors for this year ( schools, homeschoolers, scout troops, day-care centers, OPEN HOUSE and farm store families) totaled over 3000!  We are blessed to have a continued outreach to our community.  Please tell your teachers about our tour packages!

4. Board Member Elizabeth Conard Ph.D. and Educator at Moravian College Masters Program has assisted FHFED in our application for Act 48 Credits through the PA Department of Education.  We havebeen approved to offer 2 separate AG-ED tracks for our teachers this spring.

5. FHFED applied to the PA Department of Education for approval of EITC credits.  We were supported by superintendents of 8 local districts though letters submitted on our behalf, validating our continued service to the Lehigh County and surrounding areas.  Awaiting a response in the next 1 months.

6. FHFED Woods Walk NOW OPEN in participation with PA. DCNR.

We want to give a warm thank you to all the summer staff and volunteers who help to make Flint Hill Farm Educational Center a great experience for all ages this past summer season and we are already making plans for the 2018 summer camps and tours. Please visit the Summer Camp page for dates and times!
