We are able to customize your tour to meet the ages of your group, interactive needs and classroom subject.

Sample Tour- BASIC 

 

Plan based on 40 students

9 AM – 9:30 AM: (Start) group arrives, orientation in indoor arena, division into 4 goups with group leader and parent assistants, assignment to tracts

11 AM – 11:30AM: (Summary and Closing) groups return to indoor arena, discussion of experience, handouts provided to school teaching staff, closing remarks from farm staff

11:30 AM – 12:30 PM: Gift Shop open / Lunch in Picnic Area

Picnic area is available for lunch or snacks.  Food and drinks can be provided if ordered in advance for an additional fee.  Pizzas can be ordered through the farm office in advance if desired.   Use of picnic area is free.  All students and faculty will receive farm information.  All activities can be run rain or shine.  Appropriate attire for walking and weather is a must.

Sample Tour
Plan based on stations for 80 -100 students

9:00AM – 9:30 AM: Arrive at farm.  Group meets in indoor for greeting, orientation and division into 8 tour groups.  If group number 10 or greater, an adult advisor is recommended

Sample Group Tour Rotation:
> Group 1 (Goats/Sheep)
> Group 2 (Horse Barn)
> Group 3 (Garden, Plants, Compost)
> Group 4 (Indoor Arena / Snack Area)
> Group 5 (Barn / Feed Room)

11 AM – 11:30 AM: Reconnect with group for summation and handout of information packets.  Gift shop open for students and faculty.

11:30 AM -12:15 PM: Gift Shop open / Lunch in Picnic Area
