Flint Hill Farm Educational Center,Inc. mission:  Bridging the Gap between the Urban/Suburban Community and the Farm

As an Agricultural Educational Center, the farm has created short weekend intensive learning opportunities for our community in the Greater Lehigh Valley. 


March is Goat Dairy Month since it is also kidding season.  We offer 3 weekend session-  March 3-4, 10-11 and 17-18   9AM-11 AM.  Assisting in kidding should the opportunity arise, assessment of kids and does, hoof trimming, paracite management and use of the microscope for fecal testing with Dr. Nate Harvey ( date to be announced).  Cost  $ 150 per person for all 6 sessions.  Please call to schedule.  Learning material provided.  Hands-on workshop.  Please come dressed for the weather!  MUST call and sign up prior to March 1st. 610-838-2928


April 7,14 and May 5,12 are Horse Handy months.  Seasons have changed and the horses are shedding out their winter wardrobe in exhange for the warmer weather of spring.  For Beginners who are interested in learning horse care basics. 1 hr lesson and 2- 30 minute riding lessons included in package.  We offer 3 weekend session- Saturday only 7:30AM- 11 AM.  Grooming, hoof care, discussions on appropriate fencing, shelters, bedding, safe handling.  Tacking and intro to riding to be covered during the riding lesson.  Cost $210.00.  (regular cost of lessons alone- $140.00)  Must call and sign up by March 24 with Kathy 610-838-2928




June is Gardener/Grower month. Planting and care of herbs and flowers used for cheesemaking.   Learn what goes into being part of a Farmer's Market. Creation of a new garden plot  using our farm compost.  Vericulture. optional. Come plant and grow with us.   Attend the Lower Saucon Farmer's Market with Ms. Rebecca as a  Sunday morning adventure, June 20th.  Three weekend sessions- June 9th, 16th and 23rd

.  Cost $100.00 for all 3 sessions  7:30-11:30 or $40.00 for  individual days
